RAANZ 3rd Party Liability Insurance

Preliminary information- subject to change.

Covers all current members for accidental damage or loss to other parties due to operation of an aircraft under their command.
Covers both in-flight and on-ground incidents (on-ground restrictions to be confirmed).
Maximum cover is $5M in any year, reducing as successful claims are paid out against this policy.
Excess of $2500 for any claim.
Eligibility requirements-
Current RAANZ membership
Current medical
Current AFR/BFR/solo authorisation
Current annual inspection
Legal flight
Reasonable care in actions leading up to the event
An all-in policy, no option to opt out
Covers any aircraft the member is operating- personal, club, etc
Covers private, business, pleasure and instruction flights (instructor cover to be confirmed)
Included in the RAANZ annual membership fee.with increase to $160 per annum
Underwritten by Agile Underwriting Services Pty Ltd via Rothbury Insurance Brokers
Claims to be made direct to the insurer
Any negotiation and settlement is entirely between the pilot and insurer
